my computer has been invaded by AdShare or AdServe. i've deleted all cookies, files and history but it continues. where has it planted itself? how can I rid of this pain?

How did you find & identify the adware? Have you run Ad-
aware 6.0 and Spybot Search & Destroy to find and repair
the adware? Symantec posts directions for manually
removing various types of adware at this website

It has probably "planted" itself in your registry. I use "registry firs
aid" but there are a load of packages which will scan your registry fo
crap. You can ask registry first aid to look for particular strings. B
CAREFUL THOUGH. Deleting things out of hand can be dangerous. Conduct
search and think about what you are deleting.
I have registry first aid 2.5 (which is old i think) but stil
effective. Then download spywareblaster and ad-aware6 (both free). Thi
should keep you clean(er)

Computers only work with the info you give them. If you don't feed the
and protect them they die
