My preferred free news server ReadFreeNews seems to be down. Is anyone
else experiencing this also? I haven't received any notifications from
them regarding this.

Never mind. It's starting to work now but behind in downloading
today's posts.

I noticed your server is white.readfreenews.net and mine is
news.readfreenews.net. Is yours the pay type?

No your's is white too...

"White" is the name of the posting server behind the load balancer
while "news" is the name of of the balence it's self, one of the entry
points for whole readfreenews/octanews cluster.
