reuse of update files

is there a way of using the many hours of downloaded
update files I have on my new computer. with a dialup
modem this can cost a lot!! Would I be able to copy onto
a cd and reuse

Yes, go to http://v4.windowsupdate.microsoft.com/catalog/en/default.asp and
you can get a "catalog" of available updates. You can then choose what you
want to DL and save to your HDD. From there, just cut a CD and you'll have
them for re-use.
