I have a book* that tells me
Windows XP brings a thoughtful feature to the table
when you upgrade from Windows 9x/SE/Me. This new
feature is the ability to uninstall Windows XP and
return to the previous OS.
That sounds like something I might want to do. However, I
haven't yet found any instruction for doing it. I installed
XP over W98. Can someone please tell me the steps I must
take to return to Windows 98 from my present XP status?
I've installed the Backup utility from the XP Upgrade
distribution disk.
I found a remark in the same book about "ASR", for
"Automatic System Restore". I hope that's not what I'm
supposed to use, because the book says ASR is not available
on WXP Home Edition.
