Retrieving Old E-mails

Hi,
I had to reinstall the Vista OS on my HP desktop, I've re-installed office
2007 and would like to recover my old outlook 2007 e-mails and contacts.

Is this possible?

Do you have a copy of your PST file? This is Outlook's data file that
contains your emails, contacts, calendar, etc.
If you do, create your profile and use File > Open to browse to the PST to
open it.
 
hi Kathleen, thank you for your help, however it turns out that I did not
make a copy of my PST file, is there a way to get the old PST file back?
 
Where is the PST located? Is it on the harddrive that you just redid? You may
have overwritten it. Do a file/folder search for *.pst.
