Retrieving file directory items

I would like to programmatically loop through a directory (with
subdirectories), returning all filenames. How is this done?

here is a simple soltion:

Sub dirTest()

Dim dlist As New Collection
Dim startDir As String
Dim i As Integer

startDir = "C:\access\"
Call FillDir(startDir, dlist)

MsgBox "there are " & dlist.Count & " in the dir"
