Sorry, once you reformat your drive, it's wiped clean of all data.
Now you know the prudence of periodic backups of important data!

If possible it may be expensive.

getting the data back is actually pretty easy pictures are difficult as you
need to get all of the file back with a word document you can recover half
the text with pictures it does not work that way!

First thing is to STOP USING THE DRIVE

Winternals admin pack has a program called disk commander which should work

File scavenger also has some good reviews

http://www.pcnet-online.com/content/utilities/filescavenger.html

This product looks good too

Many programs will scan and show you the files for free then you purchase
the software and do the actual recovery.

IF you need to purchase a second drive so you can run the programs bite the
bullet and do it then once things are all recovered you can use the new
drive for backups.

The winternals software was able to recover files off a scsi drive that
windows would not even recognize.

The other software offers free trials that will not recover but will show
what files they can find.

IF you have a second PC to put the drive in that is fine. But I cannot say
it enough STOP USING the DRIVE.
if a file used to be in the same place as another file it cannot be
recovered. Files can only be recovered if the space is not being used.

There are companied that specialize in data recovery. Figure it's going to
cost somewhere between $100 and $3000. There are also programs that can
recover data, but the good ones can be expensive, you'll need an extra hard
drive, and you need some skill to do what you need to do.
