Here are a few suggestions:
- Check the Recycle bin.
- Log on as Administrator, then use Start / Search to locate the missing
files.
- Retrieve them from backup. You do back up your important
files every week, don't you?

Hi,

You can try an data recovery app - e.g. OnTrack's EasyRecovery or
GetDataBack.

Hi

One very useful program which I purchased some time ago after using its
free version is Handy Recovery - it can be found at
www.handyrecovery.com. It analyses your HD and then presents you with a
simple tree like folder where you can see what si there both actually
and what has been deleted. It also gives you a rating of the chances of
recovery for every item. As you probably know - when Windows "deletes"
something it does not actually get rid of it, just of the pointers to
it on your HD. Until you over write the sectors it is possible to get
the info back again. For this reason though not essential, it would be
a good idea if you can to undelete to a different HD or drive - than
the documents were on. It has been a real boon to me on several
occasions and I can certainly recommend it
