My windows XP system crashed and i had to do a system recovery. This worked
great saving all of my data EXCEPT my data in outlook. No record of past
emails, no tasks, no calendar, no contacts. Is this stuff still saved
somewhere? Can I get it back?

Howdy,

No expert I, but...

All of your Outlook stuff is in a file with the extension
"PST." I believe that the default name is Outlook.PST.

(I am assuming for the moment that you have no backup...)

So, search your drive for files of the form *.PST and hope
for the best.

When Outlook launches, if it can't find your proper PST
file, it will create another one. So when doing the search
you may find more than one. The one you want will be larger
because it has your stuff in it.

If you find the file, you can point Outlook to it and all
will be well.

If you do not find the file, and if you do have a backup,
you are still fine. Just move the file from your backup to
your drive, and point Outlook to it.

If no original PST, and no backup, I think you are sunk...

All the best,
