Retreive old messages

About 6 months ago I posted a question on this Ng and it was well answered
by the gurus here. Now I think I have the problem again but the message is
no longer on this Ng as it keeps for only only 2 months. Anyway for me to
recall it on this Ng and download it again?

You can go to Google groups and look for this group,
microsoft.public.windowsxp.general, and search for your name.

Do a search for the topic and/or your name in Google Groups Advanced
Search. Constrain the search to this newsgroup and approximate dates.

For cases like yours. I use groups.google.com or
http://groups.google.co.uk/ to find old posts.
