Retain text format from a WORD document

How can I retain text formatting (BOLD & ITALICS) in EXCEL, from a WORD
document? Is there a special format to save it in? Copy and paste certianly
doesn't work.

HELP., PLEASE

It did for me. (using Office 2003), in fact, that was the default paste. What
versions of Word and Excel are you using?
