I have my own windows account on my pc and I'm the
administrator.

I wanna disallow other account user to install program in
my computer, how can I do that in win XP?

Thanks a lot.

Pop,

Configure the account in question to be a member of the Restricted User
group:

1. Open "Control Panel".
2. In Control Panel, double-click "User Accounts"
<you may want to view Control Panel icons using classic view>.
3. In the list of users, select the target account name
4. Click "Properties".
5. On the "Group Membership" tab, click "Restricted User", <pro>
or Limited User <home> then click "Apply".

Restricted or Limited users can operate the computer and save documents,
but should not be allowed to install most programs or change system
settings. You may find that there are some programs that still allow
installation by a 'Restricted' or 'Limited' user. Not all programs adhere
to security guidelines. The application in question may not be written to
be fully compatible with Windows XP.

Hope this helps.
