Restrict size of printable area...?

Howdy,

I am using Word 2000...

For some of our tasks, we want to restrict the position of
print. Specifically, we want to print on a sheet of 8.5 x
11.0 paper, but want to allow text only in the top 6 inches.

I thought at first that I could just set up a template for a
page that is 8.5 x 6, but that causes errors on my printer
(apparently because that is not the size of paper that is
loaded.)

What is the best way to handle this?

File>Page Setup>Margins, set your bottom margin accordingly.
