Restrict remote printing

I need to prevent remote users from printing to printers accross the
WAN. In other words, I would like confine printing to within each
LAN. I am in a multi-domain, multi-site W2K network environment. I
need visitors to be able to print when they travel to other sites (and
log into workstations belonging to other domains) on the network.
Any ideas how to accomplish this?

Depends what type of printer you have. You can restrict access to the
printer by ip address from the print server. also if you would like to drop
printing all together from the WAN you can remove the Default Gateway on the
print server and then on the share on the server restrict access on a
computer basis. All all computers from that office print to the share
ect... the only way to print over theWAN would be print to the share on a
server then to the printer.

Paul,
Thanks for your reply. When you say I can restrict access to the
printer by IP address from the print server - could you explain how to
do this?

Also, some of my sites are using the DC as their print server, so
removing the default gateway will not work. So if I could do as you
said above that would be better.

Thanks,
Brian
