restoring to factory condition

I just restored my computer to factory condition and put in a floppy to save
my work but something seriously went wrong and I think I lost all my work.
Can someone tell me if I can ever get the files that I wanted to save ever
back again.
 
If you used a SYstem Restore CD set which reimages the Hard Drive to the
original state, then there is a good chance that oyu have overwritten the
data area where your files were kept.

Given that you were able to store your data on a floppy disk [1.44Mb] there
is only a small amount of information lost. A single photo is generally
larger than one floppy disk!
 
The restore program generally formats the HD first, so it is more than
likely gone. Sorry.
