restoring Outlook archive (pst) file

Am having difficulty restoring the pst file onto a different machine using XP
system in Outlook Express. File came off a central server containing only
the users content. Going onto a stand-alone machine.

Archive file is on the c:drive now. Thanks....
 
Post makes no sense. Outlook Express does not even use PST files. Explain
more clearly and accurately what you are trying to do.
 
I am using Express now on the "receiving" machine. The file was created off
a server-oriented environment. Could it be that Express does not allow pst
file restoration and needs outlook? Thanks...

Correct - the only application that will open a pst file is Outlook....
 
Of course. That's what I said. Outlook Express has nothing at all to do with
Outlook. It does not and cannot use PST files. Only Outlook does.
