Is the error message coming from Eudora? I have quite a few clients
using Comcast cable and Eudora so this should work just fine. Try
uninstalling Eudora and reinstalling it (obviously save your
addressbook first). Get the latest version from Qualcomm here:

http://www.eudora.com/

Basically, all you will need is your Comcast username and password and
the Comcast mail servers. You can get the mail server names for your
area from the Comcast website. They will be something like:

Incoming - mail.comcast.net
Outgoing - smtp.comcast.net

Here is a Comcast page on setting up Eudora:

http://faq.comcast.net/faq/answer.jsp?name=17609&cat=Email&subcategory=Eudora

Good luck,

Malke
