I can't find online or anywhere how to rollback to a previous restore
point. I usually turn this off but as I made a major change to the system I
turned it on first.

Neither of these methods seem to work for me. Is this how things work in
mce? Or is their a different method?

First check and see if there are any restore points available on the System
Restore calendar.

What exactly happens when you try to perform the restore?
