Keyword------>guess. I can think of at the minimum 2 dozen restore
programs on the market and each one has their own issues. but to just
look at your guess of "system restore" were you refering to
the "system restore" built into xp....or the "system
restore" that is used on 95% of all computers built within the
last two years as this is no longer a restore disc (CD) society, in
which HP, Compaq, Toshiba, Gateway, to name a few...use a restore
program to restore from an image stored on a hidden partition of
their computers. :)
