I'm helping my friend maintain & fix his computer. Last Oct 27 I tried to
"Restore" my friend's computer way back to Oct 3, What we got is a corrupted
files where the START button is missing and programs won't run if we double
click the shortcut icons available.

My question is Can we revert back the system to normal operating conditions?
How? since most of the files/folders is hard to access now including the
Restore utility.

Thanks

Hello,

I appreciate the suggestion of M. Rajesh. I knew the F8 trick beforehand, I
tried several times but still it won't work. Two days ago, I was able to
access Restore utility again by other means but I got an error message that
"Restore will damage your computer... Pls. restart and activate Restore
again. The same message keep on flashing once restarted and activated
"Restore" utility files.

I observed that computer is too slow to execute the commands/program.

Is there any chance to return to normal state?

Thanks a lot for any suggestions.

I repeat the process again to get the exact Warning message. I'm Sorry for the error. I already sent the edited message.

Thank you very much!
