Undo the restoration from SYstem restore then the excel stylesheet should be
back. Copy the sheet from a boot disk(Like Recovery console) to another place
and then Restore your computer again in Safe mode.

System Restore only protects the essential files for Windows itself.
It does not protect data files created by application programs such as
Excel.

For more information about System Restore see MVP Bert Kinney's System
Restore pages: http://bertk.mvps.org/index.html

Good luck

But whenever i restore my computer, SysRst deletes the exe files that are
downloaded after the restore point was made so why is that ?

Hi Ayush,

Exe files are monitored (essential files) by System Restore. The
following page has a list of what's monitored and what's not.

But i download exe files from internet to my "D:\" drive that is non-windows
so that means System restore monitors exe files on each drive or it monitors
the files downloaded from internet only.

This will happen if the D:\ drive is monitored by System Restore. Any monitored
files added after the restore point being restore to well be lost. Best practice
to monitor the drive Windows is installed on only. This will leave files alone
on D:\.

Hi Javeed,

I believe the Resotre Point was probably created before the file was saved..
Try using some data recovery programs to get the file back..
