This message started out as a suggestion on the Office web site. Since it was
imposed on me to log on here and pick a group, I have decided to offer up
another suggestion.
First:
The original suggestion... fix outlook 2003 to behave more like ALL previous
versions of outlook in that when it is restored from a minimized state,
restore it to the forfront instead of behind all other desktop windows.
(Duh!) What if outlook were restored because someone wanted to read mail?
Second:
Instead of imposing on people the need to sign into (and choose a canned
group) from an anonymous office suggestion dialog, how about just taking the
suggestion into a general message reception point that relates to suggestions
made from the office web site. (Again, pretty obvious stuff guy's)
General commentary:
Users that have previous experience (myself included) with MS products are
generally not humored by the attempt to make each sucessive product less
functional than it's predicessor. How about incorporating as a minimum the
same level of functionality (and options) as the previous version of
product(s) and then, if need be, add on to it or make changes. The closer I
look at the new outlook, the more I'm reminded of outlook express. Don't know
if this is intentional or just a bad accident, either way, it's not very
funny.
