restore of windows file

How do I restore a windows file (HMSVBVM50.dll) which was
deleted by Norton as it had a trojan? I'd appreciate some
help as it comes up each time XP is loaded. Thanks

That's not a valid windows file and Google shows no hits on it which
suggests it could be malware and you don't want it back. What exactly
is the problem? Giving a error on boot up saying that file can't be
found? If so go to Start | Run. Type in msconfig. Hit ok. On the
start up tab look for a reference to that file and uncheck that line.
Then click ok and reboot. Put a tick mark in the dialog box when the
system boots up again telling you not to warn you again of the changes.
