Hi,
My son wiped wanted to roll back his XP machine to the
original restore. He's done this successfully before and
has a restore copy on his D: drive partition. This time
the boot sequence got interrupted by a power failure.
When we retried chkdsk ran and reported some corruption
which it went on to fix. The boot up then continued but
all we can get is the windows XP login display without any
login or close down options. Tried rebooting but it comes
up to the same point.
I have installation media for another machine which will
also be on the InterNet - can I use this to reinstall XP
or will the licenses clash?
cheers
