Restore feature

a little confused

Can anyone get the restore feature working, 95% of the time on trying it out,
it fails to restore, and it only seems to keep a few days chekpoint, why
doesn;t it work like XP or am I missing soemthing?

Yes, there is an issue with Norton and Vista's System Restore. See MVP Bert
Kinney's information about that:

Although I must say your blaming Vista for what is definitely the fault of
Symantec's crappy software is... illogical. But certainly if you don't like
Vista you should go back to XP. You should, however, be aware that Norton
products are crappy in XP, too.

Recommended antivirus programs: NOD32, Kaspersky, Avast (free). The built-in
Windows Firewall is adequate for most people. This recommendation applies
to both Vista and XP.
