Restore facility in XP won't work

When I use the system resore facility in Windows XP SP2 I can chose a restore
point. The system boots and after finishing the restore procedure I see a
windows that says that the restore was a failure and that no changes were
made to the system. The sytem starts up normaly after that but no changes
have been made. I don't know why this is happening and it is a problem
becaurse sometimes I need to use the system restore.

Try restoring in Safe Mode.
