What version of Outlook are you running? Do you have an Exchange server?
How old is your most recent backup?

I am running Outlook 2000. It has been updated with SP-3. I have autoupdate
set to 'on'. I'm not sure if I have an exchange server. How do I find out?

If you had an Exchange server you'd know. Is this a home computer or
work? How old is your most recent backup?

This is my home computer. I don't know what an exchange server is or
what it
does, so I don't know if I have one. I don't know what update you are
referring to; however, the latest Windows update was on March 8, 2005.
My
computer checks daily for updates.

If you had an Exchange server you would know it. For a home computer I
seriously doubt that you do.

Also I'm not asking about updates, I'm asking about backups. How old is
your most recent backup? (Copy of your data for use in case of an
emergency) If you don't have a backup then you are probably out of luck
for restoring the messages.

My apologies. My most recent backup is approx. 6 mos. old. So, if I don't
have an exchange server i will not be able to retrieve these messages. Is
this correct?

I believe that is correct. At least not any messages received since the
last backup.
