Restart

Hello. I have recently performed a clean install of Windows XP
Professional. After doing so I am having problems restarting my computer.
It will go through the normal shutdown routine and when it successfully
closes all programs and gets to the black screen, it will not reboot back
up. Any suggestions on how to fix this problem? Thanks a ton in advance...

Did this ever work on this computer? Does it have ACPI, or APM?

After performing the clean install, did you check to make sure you installed
the latest drivers for all your hardware, especially your graphics card,
soundcard and any peripherals attached to the system?
