restart machines

hi all

i have winser2003 and have xp pro clients. I want to restart all the
machines just before the backups run at night. Can i do this automatically
cause i won't be on-sit to do this

Hi there,
XP comes with a command line based utility called SHUTDOWN.EXE which you
should be able to use to restart the machine. Create a batch file (.bat)
file using -r switch, and run it using scheduled task just before your
server run the backup.
I also found this, using a simple search on google:
