Windows XP for no reason will not boot. It starts as if
it will and then the computer restarts. Have checked the
following:1)Motherboard = O.K. 2)Memory = O.K. 3)
Harddrive test is O.K. 4)Cable connections = O.K.

I have restored to previous known good point and still
have issues. Device Manager showes all items as O.K. I
can launch in safe mode but no other way.

Boot the computer in Safe Mode.

Then open Control Panel - System - Advanced and click on the Settings
button in the Startup and Recovery (bottom) section.

In the Startup and Recovery window click on the checkbox for
"Automatically restart" to clear it. Then click on Apply and OK as
needed to exit.

Shut down and restart the computer normally.

This should put an end to the rebooting. However it may be replaced
by a "Blue Screen Of Death" STOP error message. If so then the
contents of that STOP message, including all of the parameters, will
be a direct clue as to the underlying cause of the problem.

Good luck

did you install sp2? do you have an athalon 64 chip? If you do go to safe
mode and uninstall sp2 and it will work.
