Where can I find the Resource Meter? Or the equivalent of the Resource
Meter on Windows XP Pro? I miss it! Task Manager is just not the same!!
Thanks

Hi,

No need for any such tool in WinXP, as resources are handled much
differently (and a whole lot better).

Is there a book you could recommend? CD? website? I don't care about
reading tons of pages. I just want to know how it runs better. Why it
runs better.

You don't need it.

The term System Resources, in Windows 9x and Me, referred to a
particular data structure that doesn't exist in Windows XP.

That's one of XP's many improvements over 9X. There are no System
Resources to run out of or to be concerned with.

Hi,

I have this on my desk: "Windows XP Inside Out"

The specific data structure called 'resources' in win98/ME, which was a
bottleneck, just does not exist in XP. So there is nothing to monitor
