hi, when i play games a small screen pops up every 20 seconds or so telling
me to change resolution to 1024x768 i have done this but it still keeps
popping up. it says 1 to exit 1 to disable but this doe'nt work.

Did you also change into 32 bits under the color quality?.
Read the Game requirements it may ask to have 16 bit.
Click on advance button and be sure the DPI set to 60 or 72 according to
your Monitor specs.

Sounds like the resolution notice from your monitor. Use the settings
buttons on the monitor to disable it.

I suspect the game(s) you are playing is what is changing the screen
resolution while you are in the game, that is why you keep getting the
pop-up. See if there is a resolution setting in the game options to change
it to 1024x768. If not, use the buttons on the monitor to get into its
settings and disable the notice. Number 1 refers to the button on the
monitor designated as [1].
