just upgraded my monitor to 19", no problem with setting the dpi and screen
size in the desktop. But in programs such as outlook express and IE no
matter what I do I'm looking at a font of about an 8? (this message for
instance). I've resized all my windows and set all fonts to large but
doesn't do anything to internal windows like this. Can you help? Thanks!

Windows font setting do not apply to programs - each/every program has
its own font setting options

Thanks, I know that and have set the fonts in every program. But after
setting the font in outlook express, I still compose in tiny font. And in
IE after setting the fonts and DPI, the webpages are only half my screen
vertically, print is about 8pt, and windows like this are about 8 pt.

Try setting screem resolution smaller- evrything will get
bigger. My 19" is set to 1200x900 which I can just read.
800x600 is much bigger.

Any advise given is my attempt to show appreciation for all
the excellent help I've received here but I'm no MVP so it
may only apply NUGS (Normally, Usually, Generally, Sometimes :)

Thanks Larry; I finally resigned myself to no other solution and did just
that. Wonder why they make something and reccomend a higher resolution if
not many programs support it? But again, Thank You!!
