Resgen Generated Command Line Too Long

Resgen command line in Visual Studio 2003 and 2005 for C++ projects is too
long when you have 8 languages and 50+ forms.
We need to truncate it into several command lines to be able to compile when
rebuilding which is very uncomfortable. We've read that this issue is known
and fixed in the last external releases but we don't see that at all. What
release?
We'd like an update for this.
This issue is evident and it's been there for too long.

Hi,
We've read that this issue is known and fixed in the last
external releases but we don't see that at all. What
release?

Our last Visual Studio product's external releases are VS2005 RTM products.
Also the Visual Studio 2003 Service Pack 1 will be released in this June.

Would you please tell me which article you mentioned, I may need to check
it for research.

Thanks!

Best regards,

Ok, what is RTM products?

We’ve read that in these newsgroups, more exactly in group
support.vb.feedback or something like that.

Hi,

Thanks for your posting!

RTM(Release To Manufactory) products are the final release versions
products.

By the way, we don't have a support.vb.feedback newsgroup, would you please
give me a link to that article?

Thanks!

If you search for this same subject title in all managed newsgroups appears a
post which contains a link.
If you open that link you’ll see that’s where I base my statement
(http://lab.msdn.microsoft.com/productfeedback/viewbug.aspx?bugid=FDBK17464)

This is the version we use and still having problems when generating managed
resources under managed VC++ Projects.

Shouldn’t that be fixed in it?

Microsoft Visual Studio 2005
Version 8.0.50727.42 (RTM.050727-4200)
Microsoft .NET Framework
Version 2.0.50727

Installed Edition: Professional

Thanks again.

Hi,

Thanks for the response!

I searched all the newsgroups even with those unmanaged ones, but I only
could find this thread. :(

The bug which described in the bug report you mentioned should be covered
in the VS2005 RTM product(just as your product version). If you still get
the similar problem with your project, I am afraid this issue may have some
difference with that bug report's one.

In this scenario, I highly suggest you can submit this feedback to our
product feedback center, our product development team may communicate with
you directly on the issue there:

http://lab.msdn.microsoft.com/productfeedback/default.aspx

I apologize for any inconvenience this may cause you. If you have any
issues or concerns, please let me know. It's my pleasure to be of
assistance.

Thanks for your understanding.
