Reset Styles

The easiest way to do this is to rename Normal.dot and force Word to start
with a fresh one. Before you do that, however, read
http://word.mvps.org/FAQs/AppErrors/BlankDocNotBlank.htm for suggestions
about retrieving customizations. If you just want to check on the style
formatting of a default Normal.dot, you can do this by starting Word with
the /a switch, which suppresses your Normal.dot and uses Word's built-in
settings. What you might want to do, if you find yourself often wanting to
refer to these defaults, is to leave Normal.dot strictly alone (at least as
far as styles are concerned) and make all your modifications in specific
documents and document templates.
