Hi All,

Can someone please advise if it is possible to reset WinXP Pro services back
to install default values (as a batched process) without having to do a
system restore back to the beginning of time ??

Many thanks,

Neil

Go to Start > Run and type: MSCONFIG , and hit enter.
Click on the General tab and check "Normal Startup",
then click on "apply" and reboot.

Hello Neil,

Thank you for posting here.

Based on my experience, there are no such existing scripts or batch files
that can perform this.

In addition, you could try to use the following steps to disable third
party services.

1. Click Open -> Start...

2. Run "msconfig" in the open command window.

3. Click "services" tab.

4. Select "Hide All Microsoft Services" -> Click "Disable All"

5. Select Ok.

6. Reboot your computer.

If you have any questions or concerns, please do not hesitate to let me
know. I am happy to be of assistance.

Thanks and regards,
Alex Zhang

Hello Neil,

I am just writing to see if you have had a chance to browse the Blackviper
web site.

If so, does the information on that web site satisfy your query?

If you have any other issues, please feel free to let me know. I am glad to
be of assistance.

Have a nice day!

Thanks and regards,
