Hey,

I just installed Vista on my computer and something went wrong. Not sure if
it was me, or vista itself. I was trying to make a folder on my external
harddrive private for me, so users on the standard account could not access
it.

Somehow, access got denied for everyone and that is where I am stuck right
now. I can't even access it from my admin account.

Any way to fix this? Undo it?
or possibly reset the status of the usb harddrive in vista so that I could
redo it correct?

The message I am getting is "You don't currently have permission to access
this folder"...

Sincerely,

Jacob

Enable the real local Administrator account (it is there with a blank
password but is disabled by default).
Logon with it
take ownership of the folder and reset the permissions.

Thank you!

I was almost ready to format computer again in order to reset the rights
But a big thanks =)
