I am in the midst of recovering from a huge crash. My
only option was to create a new Active Directory. But my
problem now is that on one of my servers there is a
directory where no available user, either on the new
domain or locally, have any rights. I cannot change the
permissions as I get an "access denied" error. Is there
a tool or way to change the security or are the files now
lost?

have you tried taking ownership if the directory? then use cacls to replace
the permissions. this has worked for me in the past.

You might try from a parallel install.
