reset computer back in time

I need to know how to tell my computer to go back to a different date and start there. I want to do this because one of my programs is failing, and a friend told me that you can tell your computer to go back to the time and date before the problem started and it will do it.

To access the System Restore Wizard, click Start, and then click Help and
Support. Click Performance and Maintenance, click Using System Restore to
undo changes, and then click Run the System Restore Wizard.

HELP & SUPPORT
Into the search box, type "restore"

Also look under Control Panel|SYSTEM|SYSTEM RESTORE tab
 
Hi,

It may serve you better to simply reinstall the troublesome program.
However, System Restore should be in the system tools under start/all
programs/accessories.
