Reset administrator password used in Recovery Console?

I need to gain access to the recovery console for my XP installation, but it was a long time ago i installed it, so I can't find the note where I wrote down the administrator password (not the one for my administrator account, those are two different things, right?).

I don't understand if all the help I can find here is for recovering/changing a administrator _account_ password, or the same administrator password I want to reset.
