Hi
for some odd reason after assigning a password to my user account (which happens to be the only adminidtrator user), I can not login to my PC using my account. I have read the hints provided by website "http://www3.telus.net/dandemar/lostpass.htm" however that does not help me. Based on the solution provided by the link, my only option is to purchase the locksmith program for ~ $200
The only other option I see is to install the XP again. Will this be possible and allowed

Also, note that I had to change the motherboard sometimes back when it was damaged during a memory upgrade. The replacement motherboard is the same model but I would assume that it has a unique and different MAC address. Will the XP brand new installation be allowed in this case

Please, help

Thanks
HS

There will be no problem wit Microsoft and Activation if you reinstall
windows XP.
Worst case is a 5 minute call to Microsoft.
