Hiya,

Anyone know where I can get a decent random name generator? I would like
a download and not a web site. One that does real sounding names as well
as not so real sounding name would be great.

TIA :-)

Are there any legitimate uses for random name generation? the only thing i
can think of is spamming, which isn't legitimate.

3. character names for Role Playing Games
4. pet names
5. email names
6. form filler stuff for those places that require you to register
before you can download software
7. names for your kids :-)
8. sign in names for BBS, forums
9. names for use on mirc, skype, messengers, chat rooms
10. for use in other games like hangman, anagrams, word searches,
11. domain names
12. product names

Program: NameGenerator
Author: Niclas Forsell

http://www.niclasforsell.com/old/software.htm#name

"A easy-to-use program that makes names. Ideal if you can't come up with
a name for your dog, cat, fish, child or just anything that needs a
name. Press a button and NameGenerator makes 100 names and shows them on
the screen. Press print if you want to print them. You can also change
the length of the names, if you like. The latest version of
NameGenerator is 2.11 "

LOL - cool little toy, though. Thanks!

1. passwords
Names do not make good passwords
2. character names for stories
Randomly generated names dont make good names for stories
3. character names for Role Playing Games
Randomly generated names dont make good names for RPGs
4. pet names
Randomly generated names dont make good names for pets
5. email names
Only good for spam.
6. form filler stuff for those places that require you to register
before you can download software
In other words, they're good for subverting a security check.
7. names for your kids :-)
Randomly generated names dont make good names for your kids. There are books
for this.
8. sign in names for BBS, forums
Surely you can think of your own random name for this.
9. names for use on mirc, skype, messengers, chat rooms
Surely you can think of your own random name for this.
10. for use in other games like hangman, anagrams, word searches,
Surely you can think of your own random name for this.
11. domain names
Domain names should be registered properly and legally, not with false
aliases.
12. product names
Random name generation is useless in regards to product names.

So again, are there any LEGITIMATE _and PRACTICAL/USEFUL_ uses for random
name generation, other than for spamming?

Twit! You have no imagination, do you.
