Small, standalone. Gui, easy, straightforward.
Labels itself an alpha version, but my experience has consistently
been that it works quite well.
.. . .
The only item, a minor one, I can think to mention is that you might
want, once in a while, to check up on the size of the log file. There
are circumstances where it can grow large enough that you might prefer
to delete it off your HDD.
This occurs on occasion as result of a long and involved conversation
with a server, and I think more prone with FTP servers, when they
complain about things like incorrect login format, or number of
simultaneous users, or per-user number of connections, etc.
The log has helped me a few times to figure out why I wasn't able to
download with my other clients, and get info on what was going on during
attempts. (Reminds me -- Win32get logging has also helped me at times to
discover a true target URL when it responded to some redirect commands from
a server.)
But again repeating my minor backnote: during long conversations with a
server, especially those that also had involved unsuccessful attempts, that
log file will become of a size big enough to motivate hunting down the
delete key.
.. . .
Want to remark on my favorite aspect of having Win32get. I've been most
appreciative calling this little dude in during times where my session
already has some 92% of my resources in use, as he is so very light on
the system.
