REQ: Help with WinXP Home activation request.

I have been using this load of XP Home for well over a year now with no
problems. Suddenly, it is refusing to load and saying that it must be
activated (has been for over a year). Problem started shortly after my wife
inadvertantly download the SP 2 update. I THINK I kept it from being
installed, but am not sure. Computer config. has not changed since XP was
installed, other than normal updates to Windows.

Does anyone have some help? I would really rather not have to reinstall

Try renaming WPA.DBL and running activation again, after a restart.

After trying many things, I was able to get it to load again by hitting
"F-8" and selecting laod last sucessful. Am keeping my fingers crossed for
it to keep working. Thanks to all for the help!![/QUOTE]
