REQ: Elsa Gloria II Video Card Help? More

I just noticed the second Elsa card behaves a little different.
No vertical lines, but on the desktop screen everywhere there is text
or an icon the screen has a grayish horizontal bar across the screen
completely across the screen.

Same question -

Any ideas?


Someone gave me two Elsa Gloria II cards. Both act the same - badly.

During bootup the screen is full of white dots, although I can see the
DOS commands.

When W98SE raster gets on the screen, the screen has white vertical
'bars' throughout, about an inch apart. Plus - movement of the mouse
cursor leaves trail of dots.

Any hope for these things? Anything I can do?

Sounds like they're damaged. I have a few, maybe 5 Dell Geforce 256 cards
somewhere with similar problems, they still wouldn't work properly after
replacing some capacitors, reflashing the bios, refitting the heatsink,
etc.
