Does anybody know if there is a place where I can still download the
personal edition of delphi 6?

according to serveral delpi newsgroups, and the borland site, it is'n't
aviable anymore, but that never holded a ACF member form producing a link or
to to the software (take Paint Shop Pro 4.1.5 for example. By the way, it
runs perfect on 2000 and XP)

Thanks In Advance

You'll have to register at Borland site to get the key for installing.

That's if you get the whole file downloaded. My downloading stopped at
around 130MB. But that's ok for me, I already have it. Just wanted to
make sure the file really is Delphi 6.

Thankx! I've looked everywhere even tried kazaa, but als might expected
ther's only a full download aviable, but i wanna play by the 'rules' (though
I'm probably bending them a little right now ;-) )

In my opinion, Once 'released as 'freeware/registerware/whatever' you might
keep on using it. (like Bryce 2. It has been released on serveral PC
magazine CD's. Since I classify Bryse 2 as freeware. )

I see your question got answered.... I'm in this one only in pursuit of
trying for a spot to fit in a quote that I've always very much enjoyed.
It's from an article about working for Borland.

http://www.valleyofthegeeks.com/Features/LandOfGeeks.html

"The best thing about working at Borland is you get to hang
out with super-talented programmers. These folks can write
a program to sort randomly-generated prime numbers faster
than Bill Gates can crash Access."

PS. I used to live ~3 miles from Borland, but never managed how to spot
these guys in public. Weirdly, every time anyone asked me out for a date,
it was like always a *Macintosh* dude. I've never figured that one out. :(
