A couple of times a day this driver (Microsoft kernel wave audio mixer)
quits responding and I no longer have audio. I have to close all programs,
uninstall the driver and re-install it for it to work again. I seems to work
fine while there is audio coming from the computer, but once it has stopped
for a prolonged time, the driver no longer responds.

I have a SoundBlaster Live! Value - which has worked fine for years, now it
is having issues (this seems to have begun after installing a Logitech
Webcam Messenger).

I've updated soundcard drivers, uninstalled the webcam that I thought
might be causing conflicts (I didn't have system restore turned on so I
can't restore prior to installing the webcam) and updated to XP-SP2. The
problem still happens.

Any thoughts? Thanks!

Sounds like one of two possibilities:
1. Your soundcard is getting ready to "bite the dust", or
2. You have an SP2 conflict.

Well, since it was happening prior to updating to SP2 (I was hoping it would
fix the problem) guess it might be the soundcard.

Any other thoughts out there?
