I'm trying to figure out how to make the "data" fields in an Access
pivot table stack top-to-bottom within each column category, instead of
side-by-side.

You can do that in Excel (in fact it's the default) by dragging the gray
DAta button around to get the fields lined up the way you need them. But
I can't seem to find any way to do this in an Access pivot table.

Anybody know how this can be done?

TIA,

I noted that this is a repost, which is probably due to the fact that this
is a query about pivot tables. Unfortunately, pivot tables are based on
queries, but I can't say that I really develop any, because they are a
rather an end-user enabling tool.

So, if you can't click and drag it to the configuration that you want, then
it may not be possible. Maybe enhance the underlying query to get all the
data you need into that column??
