Repository Problem

I'm having a problem getting a component updated. Because
I want to be able to use both versions of a component,
I've saved the old version under a new name, and created a
new repository (as most of the files have changed)
however, I can't add the new repository I've created to
the component, other repositories could be added, but I
can add the one I've just created in the 'repositories'
section.
Any suggestions?

check if you have permision to create directories on the
repository server.
* NTFS Permission
* Share Permission
