repository on network share

When I create a component in CD and then create a repository containing it's
files, it LOOKS like I can specify a network share ( as a matter of fact if
I select a directory that I have on a mapped drive e.g. L:\share, it changes
the path to the network path e.g. \\server\share) but in fact this does not
appear to work. Is there by any chance a fix for this? SP2? We have it
set up that developers will build their objects, and then I pick them up and
componentize them, and a network share is an easy way to go, I don't want to
have a bunch of copies of files sitting around.

Ann,

Just to clarify: you are talking about physical repository location, right? The "Source Path" field on a Repository properties page
in CD?
I am able to use mapped drive path there (and it does not get converted to UNC name right away).

Btw, Tools are not changed in SP2. Neither there have been any QFE that patches any tool from XPE Kit :-(

It doesn't convert it right away, but it seems like once you save it (or,
when I launched CDM to import the .sld). The import fails with a generic
"cannot find the file specified" type of error.

Ann,

I see. It definitely changes the path when you save the SLD.
I don't have an explanation to this.
